5K Family Run/Walk!

Updated June 16, 2008

The 2008 Run/Walk raised over $106,000 - more information below!

In April of each year, thousands of enthusiastic runners, walkers and volunteers gather on the corporate property of Midwest Security Insurance Companies in Onalaska, Wisconsin to show their support for the American Cancer Society and help those touched by cancer. In 2007, this Run/Walk fundraising event formerly known as the Midwest Security/American Cancer Society 5K Family Run/Walk received a new name: the UnitedHealthcare/American Cancer Society 5K Family Run/Walk.

UnitedHealthcare, the parent company of Midwest Security Insurance Companies since 2003, is proud to retain the corporate sponsorship for this event and make it part of its United Volunteers program. Company employees are actively involved in raising funds for the ACS throughout the year and donate countless hours to organizing the Run/Walk event.

Runners2007

The annual Run/Walk is one of the largest in the region. It also includes a non-competitive Kids' Run. Local corporate, family and other teams, as well as individuals, participate in this important event to raise money to support American Cancer Society (ACS) activities in research, education, advocacy and service.
