American Cancer Society/UnitedHealthcare 5K Family Run/Walk!
Updated May 14, 2009
The 2009 Run/Walk raised over $85,000 - more information below!
In April of each year, thousands of enthusiastic runners, walkers and volunteers gather on the corporate property of UnitedHealthcare in Onalaska, Wisconsin to show
their support for the American Cancer Society and help those touched by cancer.
UnitedHealthcare, parent company of Midwest Security and UMR, is proud to be the primary corporate sponsor for this
event as part of its United Volunteers program. Company employees are actively involved in raising funds for the ACS throughout the year and donate countless hours to organizing the Run/Walk event.
In 2008, a special honor was bestowed on our event. The American Cancer Society placed the UnitedHealthcare Run/Walk in the “Top Five” category for outstanding efforts in fundraising in the American Cancer Society’s Midwest Division.
The annual Run/Walk is one of the largest in the region. It also includes a non-competitive Kids' Run. Local corporate, family and other teams, as well as individuals, participate in this important event to raise money to support American Cancer Society (ACS) activities in research, education, advocacy and service.
